IGGY

Non IGGY members aged 13-18 are encouraged to answer an essay question supplied by Professor Watt exploring the relationship between law and humanities.

The deadline for applications is Friday 14 June 2013.

IGGY is a social and educational network created by the University of Warwick to help gifted young people aged 13-18 realise their full potential. It gives members access to great educational resources and encourages them to work with top academics, student mentors and other gifted young people around the world to exchange ideas, debate, learn and explore in a safe environment. IGGY focuses on core subjects of Maths, Science, Creative Writing, History, Politics and Life Skills and is looking to introduce new subject areas subject to demand.

One IGGY Member has offered these encouraging words to potential applicants:

“Good luck to any non-IGGY member who wants to try this! IGGY is amazing! I fully recommend giving it a shot.”

Professor Gary Watt has said:

I am delighted to be able to offer access to IGGY through the Law & Humanities Scholarship. I think IGGY is a great place for bright young minds to engage with new ways of thinking and to acquire deeper appreciation of the subjects they study.”

Professor Watt has a long-standing relationship with IGGY, having worked with the online educational social network on a series of videos and challenges introducing members to the key principles that underpin the culture and practice of law.

IGGY is open to discussions with academics from all subject areas regarding content partnerships and future academic scholarships. Please contact Jo Thomas for more information: Jo dot Thomas at warwick dot ac dot uk

IGGY will launch a further scholarship in Science and Arts offered by Jonny Heron within the coming weeks.
