International Development photo competition

The Global Research Priority on International Development (GRP-ID) is running a photo competition starting Monday 2 December 2013.

Scholars from across Warwick are questioning how international development is enacted with a view to challenging its practice and improving outcomes.

It is intended that entries will revisit how international development is being manufactured by challenging the dominant norms that silence voices. In asking entrants to ‘re-image international development’, GRP-ID intends to bring into the frame people and issues that are traditionally erased from view.

Eligibility

The competition is open to any amateur photographers affiliated with Warwick University as a student or staff member.

Submission

The competition runs from 2 December 2013 to 31 August 2014. Only images taken during this period are eligible, and only one image per applicant is permitted. All entries must be in JPEG or PNG, include a short caption of no more than 20 words and the applicant’s contact details. Please submit the photograph to grpidphoto at warwick dot ac dot uk by midnight on 31 August 2014 (GMT). The results will be announced by 30 September 2014.
