The remaining places for the Warwick Integration Summit are available for booking until 5pm Wednesday 30 April. Warwick staff and students/SU staff can enjoy a 50% discount – discounted prices are £37.50 (staff) and £10 (students/SU).

Warwick will welcome delegates from universities and students' unions across the country on 6 May 2014, as we host a summit to examine how universities and students' unions can best work together to encourage integration between international and domestic students to foster a sense of belonging for all students.

The summit follows last year's highly successful event and will coincide with the launch of a publication commissioned by the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) and written by Professor Helen Spencer-Oatey, Daniel Dauber and Stephen Williams. The University is delighted to be partnering with the Students' Union, UKCISA and NUS to encourage institutions and their students' unions to explore how they can work together to remove barriers to intercultural contact on campus.

Leading academics and practitioners will be brought together to discuss the latest thinking in this challenging area. Speakers include Professor Helen Spencer-Oatey, Director of Warwick’s Centre for Applied Linguistics and author of Intercultural Interaction and Culturally Speaking, Dr Joseph Shaules, Director of the Japan Intercultural Institute and author of ‘Deep Culture’ and Daniel Stevens, International Students’ Officer at the NUS and former president of Warwick Students’ Union.
