Issues with address labelling for student post
The University Postroom has had a number of incidents with notification cards going to the wrong flat/room because of the sender putting the room followed by the flat on the address. Please note, senders need to put the flat number first, followed by the room number, not the other way round.
To ensure that you receive all of your post, please ensure that senders address post to you in the following manner:
FULL name and Library card number
Your residence, block number, then flat and room number *
University of Warwick
Westwood Campus
Kirby Corner Rd.
Coventry
CV4 7ES
* NB: The Postroom would ask you to note that this order is very important and that the flat number needs to be listed first, followed by the room number, not the other way round as the notification card could go to the room/flat not the flat/room.
In addition, there have been problems with some shops automatically “correcting” the address – for example, Trainline.com – to simply University of Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7ES and wiping out the accommodation or department details. This usually happens when the “next page” is clicked and is not spotted unless you click back to check.
Please ensure that you check your address carefully before finally submitting any online forms to ensure that you receive any goods/services you have purchased online.
