Get involved in our Open Days

Staff are invited to help welcome visitors to campus at our next Open Days on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 June 2016.

We’re expecting thousands of visitors, primarily Year 12 students considering Warwick as an undergraduate option and their supporters, who will be able to find out what it is like to study and live here. Open Days play a big role in helping applicants make their decisions.

How you can help

We need your help to create a successful University-wide event. There are a variety of roles, each of which offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a large and busy event designed to showcase Warwick to our prospective students and their supporters.

Roles include the coordination of student ambassadors, directing visitors and managing entry to sessions. Support is needed from 8am to 5pm on the day, and you’ll need to attend a one hour briefing session at at 2pm on Tuesday 21 June in CMR 1.0, University House.

Interested, but want to know more? Find out what's involved behind the scenes from some of the people who help to make it all happen and have a look at the storify from one of our 2015 open days.

To volunteer, please first agree your involvement with your line manager in advance. If eligible, you will receive overtime pay from the Student Recruitment, Outreach and Admissions Service in line with the University’s Overtime policy. Alternatively, you may be eligible for time off in lieu at the discretion of your own department – please discuss this with your line manager in the first instance.

Future open days

Sector research and our own survey feedback indicate that university open days are a significant factor in informing applicant decision making – this is one of the reasons that, this year, Warwick will continue to run four open days instead of three. The other 2016 Open Days will be held on 24 September and 22 October 2016.
