Watch Royal Opera House performances live on Piazza Big Screen

World-class opera and ballet will be broadcast live from the Royal Opera House to the University’s Piazza this summer as part of the BP Big Screen Series. Come along and enjoy exclusive backstage films, competitions and exciting performances!

The first show, Kasper Holten’s production of Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni, takes place on Friday 3 July at 7.00pm, and sees Warwick alumnus Christopher Maltman in the title role.

Royal Opera House Big Screen series graphicWhether you are a seasoned fan or a complete newcomer, there will be something for everyone including scrumptious offerings from the Piazza Food Pod, a special offer on strawberries and Prosecco from Rootes Grocery Store and of course an electric atmosphere.

The broadcast will be live and free of charge for staff, students and members of the public. If you can’t get to the Piazza, you can watch it online via the Royal Opera House YouTube channel.


The screenings are taking place in 21 locations across the country. Warwick is the first university – and the only place in the West Midlands – showing the performances.
