    monashlog

The deadline for the Monash-Warwick Strategic Funding Initiative has been extended to Monday 5 March.

The University continues to engage in a partnership with Monash University, Australia, with the goal of mutually beneficial growth in the research and teaching excellence of both institutions.

To support the development of joint research and educational collaborations, the University of Warwick and Monash University are currently accepting applications for the third round of the Monash-Warwick Strategic Funding Initiative for activity in 2012-13.

The selection criteria for the award will be:

    • Technical merit i.e. the importance/novelty of the project within its field or in terms of the challenges it seeks to address.
    • Strategic merit/alignment:The selection committee will be guided by these considerations:

    > how the project advances the interests of both institutions

    > the presence of a clear case of complementarity/synergy

    and

    > funding potential and/or evidence of a clear educational need or student demand

    • Joint capacity: the standing and track record of the academics involved and evidence of their shared commitment to achieving the aims of the project.

Applications must be endorsed by either the relevant Head of Department/School or Dean at both institutions and will be jointly reviewed by both universities. The new extended deadline for applications is Monday 5 March 2012.
