Video Conferencing Workshop: 6 March 2012
IT Services will host a workshop on video conferencing from 10am to 3:45pm on Tuesday 6 March 2012 at Warwick.
The aim is to:
- Show the findings of the latest research into what kind of environmental benefits video conferencing can offer
- Highlight some of the ways video conferencing is already being successfully used in Higher Education
- Offer a balanced view of video conferencing, acknowledging that while it can help us to build and extend working relationships, we do actually need to meet face to face from time to time (hence the physical workshop event)
- Discuss what the governing bodies of the public sector can do to deal with the things holding people back from using video conferencing.
This workshop will be particularly useful for public sector policy makers, senior managers in Higher Education, and anyone who works in audio-visual services, in IT or in co-ordinating travel.
There's no charge for the workshop, but, since places are very limited, any cancellations after 29 February or no-shows that aren't due to illness will be charged at £50.
