    Volcanic Ash Disruption

Tuesday 24 May, 5pm: As University members may know, volcanic ash from Iceland is heading towards the UK and has already caused some flights in and out of Scotland to be cancelled. The Met Office say that it will have spread to much of the UK by the end of Tuesday 24 May, but it is hoped that disruption will be minimal.

At this stage, the University is monitoring the situation and will review further if the current situation changes.

Students with any concerns should contact their department in the first instance who will be able to provide guidance or direct their query on as necessary.

Similarly, staff with any concerns should speak to their Head of Department or line manager in the first instance.

Departments who are contacted by staff and require further advice can contact their HR link advisor. A full list of HR Link Advisors is available at http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/humanresources/contactsnew/

If the current situation changes, the University’s Business Continuity team will review as appropriate and updated information will be provided to the University community via online and departmental communications channels.
