Warwick Inspire: Deadline to apply 22 October

inspireWarwick Inspire gives you the opportunity to visit local schools and work with young people aged 11-15 from widening participation backgrounds, training them through a series of self-designed workshops on routes into higher education. Inspire is not only about raising aspirations, but it is about realising them.

Inspire is all about bettering the future of young people in our local communities, and has worked successfully for a number of years. Our volunteers have had a real impact on local students, who have been encouraged to realise their potential and have been given invaluable advice and information through three sessions designed and delivered by volunteers themselves.

All volunteers are trained and supported and then assigned to a school. Travel expenses are covered and we work closely with all of our volunteers to help them through the scheme.

This year Warwick Inspire are also proud to announce the Inspire+ scheme, which is a targeted programme geared towards ethnic minority students, who will be brought in for a training day at the University. We are looking for undergraduate students from ethnic minority backgrounds to take the lead and help us in running this day.

Applications will close on Wednesday 22nd October, so apply fast! To apply, please find steps on the Inspire Facebook page. Applicants will be responded to by Wednesday 22 October, with the launch event taking place on Thursday 23 October.
