Student raises £24,000 for Crisis sleeping rough over Christmas

While most of us were enjoying a feast of food and drink and cosy nights in this Christmas, 22-year-old Warwick biomedical student James Huxley Beavis was eating out of bins and sleeping on the streets to raise awareness of homelessness and raise money for the charity Crisis.

James left behind his money, ID and mobile phone and spent eight nights sleeping rough, documenting his experience on a £25 video recorder, becoming an internet sensation and raising £24,000 so far for the organisation.
