Robin Wensley, Professor of Strategic Management and Marketing at Warwick Business School, was appointed as the new Director of the Advanced Institute of Management Research (AIM) on 24th May 2004.

Professor Wensley’s impressive career started with a natural sciences degree from Cambridge University and an economics PhD from London University. Since then he has been Chair of Warwick Business School (1989 – 1994) and Chair of the Faculty of Social Studies at Warwick University (1997-1999).

Commenting on his appointment, Robin Wensley said: "I am delighted to be taking on the role of Director at this stage in AIM's development. We have a firm foundation of excellent fellows and challenging research which means there are a range of promising opportunities to have a real and sustained impact on both practice and policy in our key management related themes of productivity, innovation and promising practices".
