Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009

[c]

The Warwick Entrepreneurs Society will be taking part in Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) from 16 November to 21 November 2009.

GEW is a global initiative, aimed at connecting young people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. In doing so, they will begin to acquire the knowledge, skills and networks needed to create innovative, sustainable enterprises that have a positive impact on their lives, families and communities.

At Warwick, GEW will:

  • Inspire through talks from successful entrepreneurs such as Sean Phelan (Founder of MultiMap), Alastair Mitchell (Co-founder of Huddle) and more
  • Educate through skills development workshops
  • Challenge students to be entrepreneurial through competitions and activities.

These will be run in the Warwick Business School and The Warwick Digital Lab across five themed days which include Entrepreneurship Day, International Enterprise Day, Women’s Enterprise Day, Social Enterprise Day and Internet Enterprise Day.
