The first Strategy Bites event of the autumn term, 2009 took place on Friday 30 October from 12:30pm to 1:30pm in the Sutherland Staff Lounge.

Attendees watched a presentation by Director of Student Admissions and Recruitment Darren Wallis about Widening Participation at the University. The presentation covered the sorts of Widening Participation initiatives currently taking place at Warwick, and the issues surrounding Widening Participation in the UK as a whole.

The majority of attendees found the session useful, with 75% of those who filled out the feedback forms saying they felt the session had improved their understanding of Strategy 2015, and 88% saying it had improved their understanding of Widening Participation. All those filling out the forms said they would attend another session.

The next Strategy Bites session will be on 4 December, and will focus on the Institute of Advanced Study. It will be led by the Director of the Centre Hilary Marland and Administrator Alison Bell. It will take place in the Research Exchange in the Library.
