Temporary Bus Stops on Library Road

New location from 11 May

The bus stops by the Sports Centre and the Arts Centre are due to move to temporary bus stops on Library Road from Monday 23 February until further notice. This is to ensure safety standards are met during the second phase of the Students' Union redevelopment.

Temporary bus stops will be located near to the bridge (linking the Library and the Sciences Building) on Library Road. Clear signs will be posted in the Sports Centre and Arts Centre bus stops advising of the change of location.

There will be no parking on Library Road during this period.

The bus operators have been informed of the change to their route on campus.

Cars will be able to travel all around University Road which will be one way from car park 5 entrance to Gibbet Hill Road behind the Art Centre. This means that cars will not be able to turn right out of car parks 4 and 4a, nor turn left from the back of the Arts Centre or the back of Social Studies. Cars wishing to drive back on to main campus from these locations must exit onto Gibbet Hill Road and re-enter at the Gatehouse.

Coaches for the Arts Centre will be directed to the top of Library Road to drop off and pickup. Security will be advised by the Arts Centre when coaches are expected.

The night minibus will stop at the following locations :

Art Centre (Front), Library Steps, Gibbet Hill(Old Bus Stop), Redfern Sports Pavilion, Lakeside decking, Westwood near Willow Lodge, Westwood Refectory(Avon Road), University House(front door), Main Gate, Claycroft (Sports Centre Road Barrier), back to the Art Centre. Route takes roughly 30 minutes.

The late buses for the Union park will be supervised by Security and will park in front of Costcutters.
