The Times Good University Guide for 2005/6, published today Friday 27th of May 2005, has once again declared the University of Warwick to be the top university in the Midlands. This ranking is supported by the Guardian newspaper which last month also declared Warwick to be the top Midlands university.

The Midlands universities in the Times table's top 50 are ranked as follows:

Warwick 8th
Nottingham 12th
Loughborough 14th
Birmingham 23rd
Leicester 24th
Aston 26th
Keele 35th

The Times also ranked highly a number of University of Warwick Departments. Theatre Studies, Politics, American Studies, Business Studies, Accountancy, Chemistry, Economics, Physics, Sociology, Film Studies, Philosophy at Warwick were all ranked in the top five in the UK by the Times.
