Warwick Clinical Research Network’s booster of awareness

daleDoctors’ surgeries are opening their doors in hope of encouraging patients to get involved in clinical research.

On 15th July, the Castle Medical Centre in Kenilworth alongside members of the Clinical Research Network, based at the University of Warwick, will host an awareness coffee morning for patients between 9-12pm, explaining the benefits of getting involved in clinical research.

Research awareness events like this provide the opportunity for researchers to share the importance of medical research and how the involvement of patients can make a difference for the better, for both the individual and society as a whole.

The CRN will enlighten attendees on studies of development and diagnosis of disease, and how further exploring this could help us to better understand how individuals can take control of improving their health.

GP’s will enlighten attendees on studies of development and diagnosis of disease, and how further exploring this could help us to better understand how individuals can take control of improving their health.

Professor Jeremy Dale from the Warwick Medical School added:

“Making patients aware of all aspects of research is an ongoing task and we are keen to spread the message that it is OK to ask about research all year round”.

“Practices who support research, like the Castle Medical Centre, can play a key role in leading the way in clinical research”.
