Warwick rises to 89% overall student satisfaction in National Student Survey

 Overall student satisfaction with the University of Warwick has risen to 89% in this year’s National Student Survey, which has just been published today Tuesday 12 August 2014. The University has also seen noteworthy increases in satisfaction in 5 of the 6 main category scores, including a 7% increase in satisfaction with Assessment and Feedback.

In particular sections of the survey the University scored the following overall satisfaction results:

 Theatre Studies, Warwick's highest scoring department with a 97% overall satisfaction score closely followed by German Studies at 96% Economics at 95%, Chemistry at 94% and then Film & Television, French Studies, Warwick Business School, History, Statistics, and Psychology all on 93%."

 Warwick’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel Thrift said:

“This success reflects our commitment to provide Warwick students with a high quality research led learning experience, that also equips them to become internationally aware and to leave Warwick inspired and equipped to take on some of our world’s greatest challenges. It also reflects Warwick’s continued reinvestment in its campus to provide the experience that our students expect.”

The National Student Survey (NSS) is a national survey, which has been conducted by Ipsos MORI annually since 2005. It gathers opinions from mostly final year undergraduates on the quality of their courses The NSS is run by Ipsos MORI and commissioned by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) on behalf of the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW), the Department for Employment and Learning, Northern Ireland (DELNI), Health Education England, National College for Teaching and Leadership and participating private higher education providers and Scottish Higher Education Institutions.
