How do I apply for a Undergraduate degree?

All applicants must apply via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service via their website www.ucas.com.

You can also see the following Warwick guidance on How to Apply.

What is the University Centralised Admissions Service (UCAS)?

The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service is the UK equivalent of the 'Common Application Form'. UCAS provides a centralised admissions system that allows the student to complete only one application form for up to five institutions or five courses/programmes in the UK.

With UCAS you typically write one personal statement which is transmitted to all of your choices. The content and style of the UK personal statement is different to the type of essays that students typically write for college admission in the US. Essentially, for the UK you apply at programme level and use your personal statement to demonstrate your passion, motivation, interest and aptitude for the subject. You can include extra-curriculars, but with this we recommend that you’re reflective and consider what you’ve gained out of extra-curricular experiences and tie this back in to be relevant to the course that you’re applying for. Further information on the UCAS application process, including deadlines, please visit the UCAS website.

Do I need to send supporting documents?

Yes. The University of Warwick typically asks applicants to send in the following information

  • Original or certified copies of High School Transcripts
  • Original or certified copy of your SAT, ACT certificate
  • Original or certified copy of your SAT Subject Test/AP results
  • A reference from your teacher/counselor (if not already supplied via UCAS)

Can I keep track of my application?

Yes, you will be able to keep track on all of your applications made through UCAS Track.

Does Warwick offer a Foundation programme?

For students whose qualifications do not meet the typical minimum requirements for direct entry to Undergraduate study, there is the Warwick International Foundation Programme. This is a one-year intensive course, offered in a number of pathways/specialisms, and provides students a route onto our Undergraduate programs. For further information, and information on entry requirements and how to apply, please see the IFP website.

When should I apply for housing?

You can apply for on-campus housing once you have received an offer to study at The University of Warwick. The application form will be available online, along with a description of the different housing options available on-campus. Please see www.warwick.ac.uk/accommodation .
