Study Facilities

[c]

At the University of Warwick we understand that each individual has different methods of study that help them achieve excellent results.  We provide a wide range of academic facilities to enable you to study in the way that you want, whenever you want.

Learning Grid

Our state of the art Learning Grid offers an innovative integrated and flexible 24-hour learning environment.  The Learning Grid houses a variety of study spaces, from group meeting rooms to study booths to comfy leather sofas.  We have all the latest IT equipment, and our multimedia facilities make it the ideal space to prepare presentations.  The Learning Grid also houses a large number of key student texts and reference works, available for you to look at whenever you need them.  Members of academic staff frequently arrange student drop in sessions here.  Newly opened, the Biomed Grid echoes the successful format of the central Learning Grid, but is specifically tailored to the needs of the Biological Sciences and Medical Students on their campus.

The Library

Our ever expanding main library currently holds around one million printed volumes an some ten kilometres of archives.  If a book, journal or paper is on your reading list or recommended by your tutor, you can guarantee you'll find it here!  The library holds around 1,600 reader places - including group study space, computer booths and individual study carousels.  With 20 academic - related librarians and more than 150 staff in total, somebody is always on hand to help you.  The Library was successful in its bid for funding from the HEFCE, to be used to remodel.  The Remodelling project intends to address these issues by aiming to provide space for new books and other print materials, an attractive, welcoming and practical study environment and new services to support users in their new environment.
