Ann Stewart (law) and Ian Abbott (CES) are presently shortlisted for a research grant (£190,00 approximately) by the British Academy Global Challenges Research Fund. This funding will be used to develop further an interdisciplinary action research project involving colleagues from Centre for Education Studies, Sociology and Law at Warwick and from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences Mumbai and Ambedkar University Delhi. It has already obtained funding from a private foundation established by a Warwick alumnus. The project will be addressing issues relating to girl’s access to educational opportunities in Haryana State in North India.
