Late Fees and Direct Debit Surcharges
|
The University charges late payment fees on all balances that are overdue (Ordinance 16(6)). Students who elect to pay their tuition fees by instalments, but fail to set up a direct debit by the required date will be charged a late fee on their remaining tuition fee balance (plus any other overdue sums). Late fees are charged termly at the rate of 3% of the outstanding balance on your account (for overdue balances). A charge will be made for all rejected/cancelled direct debit payments. The charge will be 3% of the failed direct debit instalment. You may also be charged by your bank for the failed direct debit. If your direct debit fails and you do not make alternative arrangements to pay the amount due by the date given on your direct debit rejection letter, you will be charged 3% for the failed direct debit and a further 3% for late payment.
Please contact the Credit Control team should you be facing difficulties with your account. |
