    Enrolment

The online enrolment system allows students to enrol from anywhere in the world before you even arrive on campus.

There are two stages to completing your registration as a student at the University of Warwick:

    1. Online photograph submission and online enrolment, which should be completed before you arrive at the University otherwise your University card will not be ready for collection when you arrive.

    2. Collecting your University card.

Before you proceed: If you have not yet met your conditions of offer you will not be able to enrol until you do so.
*Outstanding conditions may include production of your degree/other certificates, achievement of grades required in your offer etc.

    Enrol Button

You can enrol by clicking the button above which will will take you to the online enrolment portal. You will need your University number (the seven-digit number found on your formal offer letter) in order to log in.

Full instructions for completing the online enrolment form are available to download via this link: Online enrolment instructions (PDF Document) You may find it useful to print these out or keep them open on your computer as you enrol.

Please note that you will only be able to enrol on or after the date that online enrolment opens for your course.

You will normally receive an email notifying you when this happens. Guideline online enrolment opening dates are given for the larger cohorts of students starting in 11/12 here.

When you have completed the online enrolment process:

    • Your Certificate of Enrolment will be displayed
    • You can register for your IT Services (ITS) account and University email address
    • You can collect your University card (with suitable identification)

    Your Certificate of Enrolment

You will need your Certificate of Enrolment (or the Certificate number) when you come to collect your University card. Please note that you are required to provide a suitable form of identification in order for your card to be issued.

    • Your Certificate of Enrolment is displayed upon completion of the online enrolment process. You should print a copy of this or take down the Certificate of Enrolment number.
    • If you need to view or print it again, it will be displayed via my.warwick until the week after your course begins, and can be printed out again at any point during this period.
    • Please note that although your Certificate will only be displayed for a short period of time, your enrolment is valid for the entire academic year.

Your IT Services (ITS) account and University email address:

After you have completed online enrolment, you will be given a direct link to registration for an ITS account. If you did not continue from the Certificate of Enrolment screen to register for an ITS account, visit go.warwick.ac.uk/register. You will need your university number to complete the registration process.

    Collection of your University card:

You will have to provide a suitable form of identification (see below) in order for your card to be issued.

For those starting at the beginning of the academic year (September to October) please the schedule for when and where you should collect your University Card.

Part-time postgraduate students who require a card, and who will not be attending daytime sessions on campus, may contact their course administrator(s) to organise delivery of their University card.

Distance Learning students, and students studying wholly overseas who will not be attending the University need not retain the information from their Certificate of Enrolment. If you will be attending the University for a seminar period, your course administrator(s) will arrange for cards to be made for you, as necessary. If you will not be attending the University for a seminar period we will only prepare a card for you if you contact us to request one. In this case, please email studentrecords@warwick.ac.uk .

    Suitable forms of Identification:

    • If you do not require immigration permission to study in the UK, you should provide a form of official identification that features your name. Appropriate examples of these would include your passport, photocard driving licence (and/or paper counterpart), EU National Identity card, Student Loan Company letter, or utility bill.

    OR

    • If you require immigration permission to study in the UK, you must provide your valid visa documentation as your form of identification. Please note that a copy of your visa and passport will be taken at the point of University card issue. If (due to a pending visa application) your passport is with the UK Border Agency (UKBA) at this time, you are required to provide your letter of acknowledgement. This letter is normally provided to you by the UKBA within 2-3 days of their receipt of your visa application.
    • Please note if you hold a Tier 4 visa, your sponsor must be the University of Warwick. If you used a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies) issued by another institution to obtain your Tier 4 visa, we will only be able to complete your enrolment and issue your University card if you can provide the relevant proof of contact with the UK Border Agency, which depends on when you last applied for entry clearance/leave to remain as below.
      • a) Students whose current entry clearance or leave to remain was granted on the basis of an immigration application submitted BEFORE 5 October 2009:

You must show proof of having contacted the UK Border Agency to request permission to change institution either by email before 21 April 2011 or by making a paid application on or after 21 April 2011. Acceptable proof will be an email print out or an acknowledgement letter from the UKBA following your application.

        OR
      • b) Students whose current entry clearance or leave to remain was granted on the basis of an immigration application submitted AFTER 5 October 2009:

You must show proof that you have submitted a Tier 4 application for new leave to remain to study at Warwick. Please note that the immigration rules requires students to submit this application before their current leave expires. Acceptable proof will be an acknowledgement letter from the UKBA following your application.
    • If your passport is for a nationality that would normally require immigration permission to study in the UK, but you have permanent residency or indefinite leave to remain in the UK, you must provide your passport as your form of identification. Please note that a copy of your passport will be taken at the point of University card issue. If you are seeking asylum/have been granted refugee status, and you do not have a passport you must provide an acknowledgement letter from the UK Border Agency or your solicitor, confirming that you have valid permission to be in the UK with no prohibition on studying.
    • Do you hold a non-Warwick Tier 4 visa? Please click here for more information on what you need to do before enrolling and on arrival.
