    Welcome from the Vice-Chancellor

Vice-Chancellor, Profesor Nigel ThriftFirstly allow me to congratulate you on your successful application and acceptance to study at one of the UK and world's leading universities. You have made an excellent choice and we’re looking forward to your arrival.

Here at Warwick we pride ourselves on being home to some of the best students from the UK and around the world. We also pride ourselves on providing first class facilities, quality teaching and excellent social experiences for our students.

The weeks before joining a new university and the first few weeks at that university are an exhilarating time with lots to do, new people to meet and new studies to begin. You will learn what life has to offer at Warwick as you move into new accommodation, make new friends, get to grips with your new course and join new societies and sports clubs. If you’re joining us from overseas, it isn’t just a new campus but a new country and culture that you will be getting to know.

The Welcome to Warwick website is part of a number of induction resources and activities designed to make the weeks before arriving at the University of Warwick, and during those exciting and busy first few weeks, as easy as possible for you. This will be your essential guide over the coming weeks, taking you through enrolment, moving into your accommodation and providing you with key information, hints and tips to help you enjoy and manage your first few weeks effectively.

I wish you every success and enjoyment in your time here at the University of Warwick. Welcome to our community.

    Professor Nigel Thrift,
    Vice-Chancellor
