Procedure for Moving Out Early

Dear Student,

Students will be held liable for their accommodation for the duration of their contract unless they are eligible to be released under section 4 of their contract. This usually means a suitable replacement student needs to be found to go into their room.

If you are looking for a replacement for your campus University managed accommodation, you can advertise your room on this website. Please complete a campus room contract replacement form.

Please email accommodationoffers@warwick.ac.uk for more details.

On campus Permanent/Temporary Withdrawal

Dear Student,

In the first instance you should discuss this decision with your course tutor.

If you then officially withdraw from the University either on a temporary or permanent basis you will be required to move out of your campus accommodation within two weeks. You will be released from your campus contract from either the date you depart from your room and return your keys to Student Reception or from your official withdrawal date, whichever is the latter.

Short Term Accommodation – Term time and Non-Warwick Student

Dear Student,

Unfortunately we cannot offer accommodation for your requested dates for such a short period of time. We can advise that you may want to look at www.Warwickconferences.com who may be able to facilitate your stay, their centres run a Bed and Breakfast option similar to a hotel.

Furthermore, the below link set up by the staff and Family Team may be useful in your pursuit for short term accommodation options;

When will more off Campus properties be released?

Dear Student,

It is difficult to state when or if new properties will be up made available online. There are many variables involved, it will depend on any prospective landlords utilising Warwick Accommodation to let their properties.

Leamington is a very popular area and there has been a high demand for the area since they went live online in November.

As you can see from the below link on the right hand side properties are added sporadically.

http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/services/accommodation/studentaccommodation/apply/16/current

It may be worth looking at contingency plans as well, there are plenty of properties in Earlsdon and other areas.

Also if you are to ever look privately please always seek advice from the Housing Advice Team in the Student Union.

Kind Regards

Final Year Waiting List Response

Dear Student

It is difficult to say. It does depend on whether we receive enough cancelled offers. As the number of places available via this list is dependent upon other students declining their offer of campus accommodation, we are not able to provide any guarantee that your application will be successful or when we would be able to inform you of the outcome of your application. As it is a waiting list you need to wait for Warwick Accommodation to contact you with further information.

Applications are processed as far as possible on a first-come, first-served basis. If you subsequently need to make any alterations to your application or have any queries relating to it please email accommodationoffers at warwick dot ac dot uk

Kind regards
