New Residence Information

Construction work for a new Halls of Residence commenced on Monday 4th July 2011 for completion in summer 2012.

This exciting new project sees the construction of 500+ student bedrooms arranged in six blocks across the site adjacent to Lakeside staff appartments and the tennis courts.

The right-hand side of this webpage will be updated with further information as the project progresses. The following arrangements will be in place during the construction period:

  • Contractors will access the site from site from Scarman road via Cryfield.
  • Contractors are not expected to start work before 8am Mon-Fri and will normally finish by 5/6pm each day. Currently there are no plans for contractors to work weekends.
  • Every effort is being made to keep any disruption and inconvenience to a minimum.
  • Residents should not, under any circumstances, enter the construction site and if found to have done so will face disciplinary action.
