Roberta joined Warwick 1996, initially as Administrative Officer in what is now the Learning Development Centre, working with new probationary staff on the early Teaching Certificate Programme. She subsequently moved to HR as Assistant Registrar, taking on responsibility for the Promotions Committee and headhunting work for senior academic posts. From there she moved to the Deputy Registrar's Office where she worked on academic accommodation, timetabling and capital development. In 2003 she moved to take on responsibility for teaching quality and enhancement matters, providing administrative leadership through the University's 2004 QAA Institutional Audit. From there she moved to the Careers Centre in early 2005 where she served as Director for three years, developing services for students and enhancing liaison with academic departments to embed employability initiatives. From Spring 2008, Roberta was appointed Deputy Academic Registrar, leading Examinations & Assessment, Teaching Quality, Student Funding & Finance, and Student Records in the Academic Office and acting as Secretary to the Graduate School. In May 2014 Roberta's brief was re-shaped to focus on matters related to learning and teaching, and the student experience, to inject further resource into this area. At this time she also took on the role of Assistant Secretary to the Senate and leading on academic governance and Roberta worked with Professor Christina Hughes, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning & Teaching) to establish the Warwick International Higher Education Academy (WIHEA). In September 2017 Roberta moved into the role of Acting Academic Registrar, leading all teams within ARO comprising: Teaching Quality; the Academic Office; the Student Recruitment, Outreach and Admissions Service; the International Student Office and Student Careers & Skills. In this capacity Roberta acts as Secretary to the Academic Resourcing Committee.
