Batterham, Richard

Largely self-taught, Batterham received some training in the school pottery at Bryanston School, Dorset, which was run by Donald Potter. From 1957-58 he was at the Leach Pottery, St Ives, and in 1959 established his own pottery at Blandford Forum, Dorset. He produced thrown domestic stoneware with ash and salt glazes. He did not mark his work.
