Options for computer science students
Computer Science graduates go onto secure employment with an impressive range of global, national and regional employers, across a variety of industry sectors. Their technical skills are highly sought after and typically they achieve high levels of graduate employment in graduate occupations. Large employer organisations, (250+employees) usually dominate the destinations of those graduates working full time, as well as successfully obtaining graduate employment within niche, specialist SME employers.
Recent graduates obtained graduate roles in occupations classified as Information and Communication, Financial and Insurance, Manufacturing and a range of other industries. Examples of graduate roles for Computer Science graduates include IT Graduate Trainee, Data Analyst, Developer, Software Engineer, and Consultant. However Computer Science graduates are not restricted by their degree discipline from entering other popular and competitive business areas, for example, Human Resources Adviser.
Graduates often relocate for work to Greater London, South East, East of England as well as a number of other UK regions. A number of students also remain in the West Midlands after completing their studies.
Further study is another popular destination of Computer Science graduates, many choosing to explore further study here at Warwick, or other institutions in the UK and the USA.
