Welcome to the University of Warwick Chaplaincy

[c]

At the heart of central campus, the Chaplaincy is a vibrant space for all members of the University community. It’s a popular gathering place that welcomes students and staff of any or no faith.

The Chaplaincy is home to the Anglican, Roman Catholic, Free Church, Jewish and Muslim chaplains, who are always glad to meet students and staff socially and pastorally. As a valued part of the University’s Welfare network, the chaplains offer everyone a sympathetic ear in total confidence.

There are regular services for all Christian denominations and congregational prayers for Muslims for all five daily prayers. Christian, Jewish and Muslim groups meet several times a week for prayer scriptural text study and discussion. On Friday nights Jewish Students meet for the Shabbat meal; a kosher kitchen is available in the building. The Islamic prayer hall was added in March 2006 providing prayer spaces for men and women, a halal kitchen, ablution facilities and a library, and is widely recognised as one of the finest facilities of its kind in the UK.

Part of the worldwide Coventry Cross of Nails community, dedicated to conflict resolution, the Chaplaincy works with Coventry Cathedral to build peace through understanding. Promoting tolerance and reconciliation, the Chaplaincy proudly celebrates Warwick’s diversity.

The Chaplaincy office is closed on Fridays
