Shaykh Imran Suleman, Muslim Chaplain

ImranShaykh Imran Suleman was born in Coventry, and commenced his memorisation of the Holy Qur’an at the tender age of eight. He spent over eleven years studying several combined Islamic sciences such as, Scriptural Exegeses & Intonation, Inter-textual analyses of Prophetic Traditions, and Arabic syntax & etymology, inter alia, at an Islamic seminary in the UK.

Upon completion of this extensive course of study, by the grace of Almighty Allah SWT, he graduated as a Scholar of Islamic Sciences & Arabic Literature, with distinction. He is also a qualified Qaari’, and has studied the seven, ten and advanced ten dialects of Qur’anic recitation. 

In order to complement his Islamic education, Shaykh Imran turned his focus towards further study within academia. He consequently studied for an MA. at Loughborough University, and then for an MSc. at the University of Leicester. He graduated from these academic institutions having obtained both Master’s degrees with distinction.

He has many years of experience in leading congregational prayers and conducting the Friday sermon at various locations around the world. Besides his ministerial duties at the University, he is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring within his local faith community.
