How much are the fees?

Fees quoted are in pound sterling and valid for the academic year 2023-2024 only.

Prices include all meals, snacks and drinks for children not in receipt of Nursery Education Funding.

For children in receipt of Nursery Education Funding a charge of £3.40 is made for lunch and £1.50 for tea.

Collection of fees

Staff Members: Nursery fees are deducted directly from salaries when paid (usually the 24th of the month).

Students: Nursery fees are processed through the Student Finance office and are payable termly along with other payments (e.g. tuition fees).

Financial Support for Childcare

Students - Hardship Funds

The University administers two hardship funds, one for home students and one for overseas students, which are available to help with Nursery fees. Further information about these can be obtained from the Student Financial Adviser on 02476 150096. Email studentfunding@warwick.ac.uk 

Students - Childcare Grant

This is available to home students on low incomes and can be worth up to 85% of childcare costs. For further information take the link to childcare grantLink opens in a new window and download application form CCG1.

Students and Staff members - Childcare Vouchers

The Nursery is registered to accept childcare vouchers which can be obtained via an employer where a parent is employed elsewhere, and the HMRC Tax Free Childcare Scheme.

Staff Members - Tax Credits

The Working Tax Credit is now available if you work 16 hours or more a week. Contact the Inland Revenue for more information

Staff Members - Salary Sacrifice Scheme

The University operates a salary sacrifice scheme which is available to University employees who are on the University payroll. For more information please contact the payroll department. In some cases it may not be possible to sacrifice the full sum of your fees as there is a legal requirement to be paid above the National Minimum Wage after any salary sacrifice has been taken into account.

Nursery Education Funding (universal offer) 3 and 4-year olds

This is provided from the DfE through the LEA and is claimed for on your behalf. You will be asked to sign a declaration that confirms that your child is attending this particular setting. Currently all children are entitled to this funding from the term following their third birthday. The education grant allows eligible children to receive 570 hours of free nursery education each year.

Nursery Education Funding (Extended offer) 3 and 4-year-olds

The extended offer provides an additional 570 hours a year for eligible children. See childcare choices, (government site) for more information.

Nursery Education Funding for 2-year olds

In some circumstances it may be possible to obtain funding for your 2-year-old. Please ask at the nursery office for further information. From April 2024 children of 'working parents' will be eligible for two year old funding from the term after their second birthday. These children will also be eligible for 570 hours of free nursery education funding each year. For information on the definition of 'working parents' please see the childcare choices link above.
