Tom Abbott, Online Communications Officer

Tom has responsibility for the development and management of the University's external website and provides support for departments in developing online communications strategies. Within this role Tom provides content support for the external website and ensures that sites are accurate, usable and accessible both in terms of structure and content. Tom oversees the University's corporate identity online and works with departments to ensure that the identity is correctly implemented. As part of his role Tom is also responsible for the annual review of the University web presence and analysing web usage.

Peter Dunn, Head of Communications

Well I first joined Warwick in 1989 and for most of that time Warwick has described me as its Press Officer. I must be doing something right to have lasted this long - though having a strong institution such as Warwick that is highly ranked and very proactive does make life a lot easier (though I would say that, wouldn't I?).

Suzanne England, Strategy Programme Manager

Suzanne has responsibility for the day to day management of the overall University Strategy 2015 programme. As Strategy Programme Manager her role is to lead and manage the setting up of a programme to deliver the strategy; to drive forward the strategy, providing programme management and high level project management support to those responsible for delivering individual goals, to monitor and control the overall programme, to effectively deliver new capabilities and realisation of benefits for the University.

Joanne Evans, Corporate Communications Assistant

Joanne co-ordinates the project management and production of the University's main external publications which include the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Prospectuses, Departmental literature and the Campus Location Plan. Joanne designs the University of Warwick newsletter CommUnicate and advises Departments on the implementation of Warwick's Corporate Identity.

Jackie Gutteridge, Secretary

Jackie is the secretary for the Communications Office and is the first point of contact for members of the press and general public. She administrates the Warwick office in London and also takes bookings for the Warwick on-line television and radio studio.

Eleanor Lovell, Senior Web Editor

Ellie works in online communications, managing the external University website and producing content from news and events, to student recruitment and corporate communications. She also provides advice and guidance to other departments on developing online communications, web design and content and use of social media.

Kelly Parkes, Communications Officer, Warwick Medical School 

Kelly Parkes is responsible for internal and external communications at Warwick Medical School. She works with academics to source research news stories and raise the profile of the School. Kelly is a qualified and experienced journalist, prior to joining Warwick she worked in Design and Publications at the University of Birmingham and served her time as a reporter on the Express & Star newspapers.

Julia Pidgeon, Internal Communications Manager

Julia is the editor in chief of CommUnicate, the internal magazine, and insite, the University intranet, as well as chairing the Internal Communications Network. She manages and delivers the University's internal communications strategy supporting the University's main goals and development. She works with departments to produce specific campaigns and undertakes consultation on strategy development and the management of issues and change. She also provides training on web publishing and internal communications.

Samuel Boulby, Internal Communications Assistant

Sam writes and edits the staff newsletter CommUnicate and researches and produces content for insite, the University intranet. He works with the Internal Communications Manager to deliver the University's internal communications strategy and work with departments to produce specific communications campaigns. He is also responsible for organising the Warwick Network annual staff conference and provide support for internal events such as Degree Congregation.

Alison Rowan, Communications Project Manager

Alison works across a variety of project-based work streams for the Communications Team. Amongst her recent projects are a secondment as Press & PR Manager for Birmingham Science City and the project management of ideasforlife.tv an online video on demand channel for science and technology across the West Midlands region.

Ian Rowley DipPR, MCIPR, Director of Communication

Ian Rowley is head of the Communications Office. He joined Warwick as Director of Communication in 2000 before which he was Head of Press and Public Relations for the Royal Shakespeare Company. His specific responsibilities are:

Trevor Seeley MCIPR, Community Relations Manager

Trevor's role is to co-ordinate and develop Warwick's links with the local and regional community, with a view to increasing knowledge and understanding of the University amongst its stakeholders. This involves liaising with people and organisations ranging from local residents to the Regional Development Agency. Trevor joined the University in October 2003, having performed a wide range of senior PR roles in the public, private and charity sectors; his last role was Head of Community Investment at FTSE 100 power company National Grid

Roberta Warman, Corporate Communications Manager

Roberta Warman is responsible for the production of the University's annual central publications - the Prospectuses, Annual Review,  Profile, Warwick: The Magazine as well as advising departments on their publicity needs. As part of a more general role in the University's communications, Roberta works with the Director of Communication in devising and maintaining the University's corporate identity.
