Postgraduate Course - 7th July 2017
Anatomy of surgical and interventional procedures

Clinical anatomists often teach about surgical and interventional procedures, but themselves have often had little opportunity to be trained in or practice such procedures.

This one day course will provide clinical anatomists with the opportunity to be trained in a range of interventional and surgical procedures using fresh-cadaveric tissue. This hands-on consultant-led course will take place within the West Midlands Surgical Training Centre (UHCW, UK). Delegates will gain first-hand experience of the ways in which clinical anatomy is both essential to, and can be integrated into, cadaveric procedural training.

The theory including relevant anatomy, indications, complications and post-procedural care will be covered in a seminar format. This will be followed by practical experience using fresh human cadaveric specimens, under instructor supervision.

Places on this additional event are limited. Find out more here.
