Radcliffe's had a refurb

Warwick Conferences has invested £6.5 million to refurbish one of our conference and training centres - Radcliffe. The project is being carried out in 3 phases with an exciting opening set to happen in September 2017.

Radcliffe Refurbishment

At Warwick Conferences we pay attention to the little details, which is why we have incorporated a number of new elements into our dedicated conference and distraction-free venue Radcliffe, to improve customer experience and create an environment that sparks collaboration and creativity. From the carpets to the skirting boards, the ceilings to the walls, Radcliffe will have never looked better.

Come September 2017, you will see a completely revamped bar and lounge area, in which a new modern design has been implemented, which is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also sustainable. With heating and ventilation modifications, and PATA upgrades, we are not only helping our delegates, but also doing our bit to create an eco-friendly environment.

Full replacement of external windows which now satisfy Approved Document L classification, will achieve an improved thermal conductance (U-value) of 1.6 while also using modern double-glazed units, to help reduce energy usage through improved thermal performance and light transmittance. This is not specific to one area, so wherever you are in the new and improved Radcliffe, rest assured, you know you’re taken care of.

Our flexible meeting spaces have also been given a well needed makeover, with the carpets, walls, skirting’s, doors, architraves and ceilings being replaced to create a relaxed, ‘anything is possible’ atmosphere. We want our delegates to feel inspired, and we are confident the new refurbishment will do just that. Consider it the new age ‘Symposium’, just like the ancient Greeks we seek to create spaces and communal areas that stimulate creativity, opportunities for exchange and collaboration between creative minds from diverse experiences and professional spheres.

Head of Conference and Training Centres Richard Harrison has commented; “Investing in providing even more effective facilities that continue to satisfy and surpass the needs of our clients is a huge priority for us, as well as ensuring we provide the highest levels of service to every guest. In light of this we are currently carrying out a £6.5 million refurbishment on our Radcliffe space, due to reopen in September 2017. This will enable us to deliver enhanced meeting experiences for up to 180 delegates at Radcliffe, meeting an increased demand for small to medium sized conferences. We have a fantastic team who take considerable pride in the service they offer guests, and work incredibly hard to ensure their every need is taken care of.”

Toilets

We will now be meeting the standards of best practice defined by BREEAM, the Water Technology List and the Water Efficient Product Labelling scheme to save up to 52% of water.

We’ve also fitted each en-suite tap with a 5 lpm flow regulator, and each shower supplied with a 12 lpm regulator, making them more sustainable and protecting our water usage.
