Did you know that you can book a university minibus (16 seats plus driver) with or without driver at much less than the cost of an external coach company, the standard charge is 75p/mile, plus any driver's overtime outside normal working hours.

One of the minibuses is equipped with an Access Tail lift, removable seats in the rear, and a three-point harness, so that a wheelchair and its passenger can be transported.

We have a large transit van with a tail lift (3 seats); and also some small vans (2 seats) which are used during the day for post deliveries; these are usually available for hire after 16:00, on condition that they are returned by 06:00 in time for the next day's work. Please ring Dave on 22776 to check availability.

NB - These can only be booked for University business. Any un-authorised use will negate the insurance and could lead to prosecution.

If you intend driving a University minibus, you should also be aware of the regulations outlined in various leaflets available on the DVLA Pages. For a University department to book a vehicle with or without a driver, please complete a hire request form and return it to transport@warwick.ac.uk

Vehicles must be collected from our Westwood office by 15:30, and returned before 06:00 the following morning unless otherwise negotiated.

NB The University does not have a coach, if you require one you will have to contact one of the local hire companies.
