The University’s Corporate Planning Statement 2010 (CPS) was approved by the Council for submission to the Higher Education Funding Council of England (HEFCE) in December 2010. The CPS is a general update of the full range of strategic priorities of the institution including progress against objectives as defined in the University’s strategy, Vision 2015, and summarises the broad objectives for the 2010/11 academic year. 

The CPS is required to be submitted to the HEFCE as part of the ‘Single Conversation’ together with the University’s financial plan and accounts, an Annual Monitoring Statement, and reports from the University’s internal and external auditors and the Audit Committee.

The University's Annual Monitoring Statement 2010 was submitted to the HEFCE in December 2010. The Annual Monitoring Statement  is intended to provide the HEFCE with information on progress against activities and targets relating to special funding for the following activities:

• learning and teaching
• business and the community
• rewarding and developing staff
• Overseas Research Students Award Scheme
• race equality and diversity.
