Working at Warwick - the Campus

[c]

The University is near to big centres like Coventry and Birmingham but is still set in a pleasant and relatively rural part of the West Midlands.

Generally the campus is a pleasant environment in which to work.

It is in a lovely setting and a great place to be, especially on a summer's lunchtime by the lakes.

The campus environment is a definite advantage as we effectively have a self-contained community. There are good meeting places, places to eat and  to shop. Lots of the things you often have to do at weekends (ie buy presents, sort out dry cleaning and post parcels) can be done during lunch breaks. It makes for a nice community feel.

A wander down to the lake at lunchtime can make for a relaxing break in the middle of the day.

The shops on campus include a very good gift shop and excellent bookshop as well a post office, chemist, book shop, travel agent, dry cleaner, hairdresser and branches of high street banks, all of which are very useful when you are pressed for time.
