Status letter request for immigration purposes
If you require a status letter to use for immigration purposes you should complete the form below.
(Please note that if you are applying for a Tier 4 visa or Tier 4 visa extension, you no longer require a status letter because the CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) has replaced the status letter).
Status letters for Schengen visas should be requested from the student reception desk on the ground floor of University House. These can be prepared while you wait. There is no need to contact the International Office about one of these.
Please note if you require a letter regarding your intention to undertake an internship, you must seek advice from one of our immigration advisers by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject 'internship'.
Letters should be ready for collection from 2.30pm five working days following the request from the International Office Reception. You will be contacted by email as soon as your letter is ready to collect. If you have requested us to post the letter to you, you should also allow time for the document to be delivered. As no charge is made for this service, we will always use first class post in the UK and standard airmail for the rest of the world. Please do not ask us to post a letter by courier or expect a tracking number.
We aim to process all requests within 5 working days. If we are unable to do so, because of the need for further information, we will email you to inform you about what we need to find out, using the email address on your form.
