Warwick students secure more jobs - The Guardian reports
In an article in The Guardian published on 22 May, the University of Warwick has been ranked as one of the top performing universities in the UK for students securing job offers while still studying.
Pre-entry TB Testing as part of visa application process
The UK Border Agency have announced plans to increase the number of nationalities that require pre-entry Tuberculosis testing as part of the Tier 4 application process. It will be rolled out over the summer. The UKBA website will provide more details when available.

New workshops on Working During and After Your Studies
Following Immigration Rule changes from 6 April 2012, the Immigration Service will be running several workshops on the options available to you after you have completed your studies, should you wish to stay and work in the UK. If you wish to attend one, please book a place on the website provided.
Warwick Laksh Foundation Project
The Warwick Laksh Foundation Project will send up to four Warwick student volunteers to work with the school teachers at the rural Laksh Foundation School in India for four weeks during July-August 2012.

Biometrics to be taken at Post Offices only from 6 April 2012
At present, students who are required to give their biometric data to the UKBA as part of an application for further leave to remain in the UK, can do this at a Public Enquiry Office such as Solihull, or at post office that is set up to offer biometric data collection services.
From 6 April, Public Enquiry Offices will no longer offer this service. Students will have to give their biometrics via a particpating Post Office, where they will be a charge of £19.20 per person. A full list of Post Offices that can offer this service is listed at:
The UKBA says that over time, more Post Offices will offer the biometric data service. At present, the nearest Post Office for Warwick students is in Birmingham.
Summary of immigration changes on 6 April 2012
The UK Government has published information regarding the immigration changes it plans to introduce on 6 April. The full details should be available on 15 March. UKCISA has summarised the main changes:
New application fees proposed
The UK Border Agency has announced proposed fee increases due to be implemented from 6 April 2012. This would see the cost of a Tier 4 postal application made in the UK rise to £394.
New PBS Dependant application form
The UK Border Agency have published a new application form to be used by PBS dependants as of 14 February 2012.
