Change your password - using the self-service password system
What is Password Self-Service?
A system which allows you to change or reset your password online. It allows you to set a new password, even if you have completely forgotten the old one.
Security Questions
Before you can use Password Self-Service, you must set some special security questions for example, what was your first pet's name, so we can confirm your identity. However the first time you use password self-service you will need to know your login and password in order to log on to the system and set up your questions. That's why it's important that everyone sets up their security questions straight away.
- If you use an ITS managed desktop, you will be asked for these questions the first time you log in. Follow this set up guide.
- If you do not use an ITS managed workstation, you will need to setup these questions on your first visit to the Password Self-Service system. See these instructions on setting up your questions.
If you are having difficulty changing your password please contact the ITS Help Desk.
