Television programme recording

Service Description

We provide a television programme recording service for all members of academic staff. This means that you can request that either an individual television programme or a series of television programmes are recorded for either teaching or research purposes. Programmes can be recorded from the standard 'freeview' digital terrestrial channels. A single recording will be produced on a DVD and will be labelled accordingly. Should you require multiple copies of your recording this can also be arranged.

Warwick University is a member of the British Universities Film & Video Council (BUFVC). The BUFVC offer a TV/Radio archive service which gives staff access to more than 300 TV and radio channels, with recordings dating back to 1995. If you have missed a programme that is not repeated or would like to get hold of a programme from years ago, this service is very useful. You can search the archive online at http://www.trilt.ac.uk/ login with your university username and password and request recordings. The standard charge for this service is £20 per recording. We will need a cost code from your department to charge this to.

Availability

Requests will be processed during standard support hours, although recordings can be scheduled 24hrs a day, 365 days of the year, subject to capacity and equipment availability. We will let you know as soon as your recordings are ready and you can either collect it from our reception or we can put it in the internal post to you.
