    About us

The Software Licence Management Service provides licences for approved software to meet the University's academic and business needs. We provide software for download by Warwick staff and students, as well as software on the managed desktop.

We aim to minimise the University's software licence purchase costs, and promote legal use of software and compliance with licensing terms.

ITS support for Windows XP and Novell to end

IT Services will withdraw all Novell services from August 2013.

ITS will no longer run and support their managed Windows XP desktops, or anything connected to the current Novell system from August 2013.

    What does this mean?

Managed Windows 7 desktops won’t be affected by this work. This includes anybody due to be migrated before August. To find out who's moving when, see the latest Windows 7 migration schedule.

If you see the following screen when logging in and your department is not on the migration schedule, then you are currently using Novell services and may be affected.

You may wish to either speak to your IT Contact or alternatively contact the IT Help Desk.

For more information, please see our page of key dates and other technical information.
