Standard charges
Most of the web publishing tools are free at the point of use; there are currently no charges associated with publishing web content through any of our systems. Some services which are very specifically tailored to a customer or require a significant use of our team's time are charged for. The following list provides an overview of the rates that are charged to internal customers. Please note that the rates given are per hour or part thereof.
- Creation of new web site using SiteBuilder, inheriting an existing site design (that is the L-shaped template - left hand side navigation menu and top banner)
Free of charge. - Creation of a new site design (that is the L-shaped template - left hand side navigation menu and top banner)*
£50 per hour graphic design and £40 per hour design implementation
- Creation of a new homepage design and/or top level pages
£50 per hour graphic design and £40 per hour design implementation - Implementation of site design by external design company
£350 per site design - Creation of Flash animations
Basic £130, intermediate £250, fully interactive £310+ - Usability consultancy and structure review
£60 per hour consultancy, £40 per hour restructuring and £50 per hour testing - Accessibility review
£60 per hour consultancy and £50 per hour testing - Project management and administration
£60 per hour - Creation of any graphically designed element to go on your page £50 per hour

*NOTE
Charge (2) is waived for completely new web sites . That is, where:-
- there are no pre-existing pages under a departmental or service web site
- there are no listings or links to the new site anywhere else on the university web site
- the site is not simply a conversion of pre-existing pages within a site to a new sub-site
