The emphasis is on a positive and constructive dialogue between reviewees and their revieweers. The process will only be successful and worthwhile if there is active and equal participation by both parties.

This online briefing is for staff who have experience in conducting or taking part in review and appraisal meetings in HE and would like to refresh or confirm their understanding of the best practices in conducting or participating in annual review meetings. For those who wish to examine the process in depth, we recommend attending a briefing session in person.
At the end of each section in this online briefing you will be asked to confirm your completion. Please note that, if you do not complete these confirmations, there will be no record that you have completed the briefing.
