Over the past year, the Learning and Development Centre’s activities have extended into new areas that are tailored to the needs of individual departments and/or sections, both academic and non-academic. Recent activities include:
Facilitation of department away days
We have facilitated a number of away days for academic and non-academic departments and sections. Commonly, these days address a particular business issue, such as strategy or team-working. Recently, we have worked with Engineering, Estates, Warwick Business School, Careers, the Finance SAP team, Warwick Medical School, the Centre for Scientific Computing and Chemistry. Each request is different, and our response is designed to meet the individual needs that are identified. We can help with the design of the day, suggest suitable activities, and run or co-facilitate the day for you. We can also contribute a session to your own event.
Bespoke training for departments
We provide development workshops for departments and/or sections. Taking your needs as the starting point, we can design a workshop from scratch or tailor one of our central workshops to your needs. Recently, we have worked with Estates, Finance and Campus Affairs
Support/help with commissioning
Sometimes Departments would prefer to use an external supplier, and we can help you with any aspect of the commissioning process, e.g. establishing learning needs, developing a tender document, identifying an appropriate supplier, negotiating prices, etc.
