Who is it for?
Academic and research staff who are interested in developing their understanding of assessment. This workshop is one of the core workshops for PCAPP participants.
Session Objectives
This workshop will offer an introduction to assessment, providing the opportunity to explore the purpose of assessment, a variety of different assessment methods and the importance of the feedback we give to students. The session will build on your own experiences and you will be encouraged to reflect on your own assessment practices and discuss ideas with your colleagues.
By the end of the session you will:
- Have reflected on the importance of assessment within Higher Education
- Be able to describe the key factors to consider when designing assessment
- Have evaluated a range of strategies for use within your own context
- Be able to identify some features of effective feedback
Is there anything else I need to know?
