Evaluating Academic Practice

In a time-pressured environment, people need to ensure that they are being as efficient and as effective as possible. This serves our students, our department and the University; but importantly, working well in these terms can lead to less stress for ourselves, and a more fulfilling work experience.

But we are in a double bind. Time pressures may prevent us first, from thoroughly evaluating whether our academic practice is as effective and efficient as it might be, and second, from bringing about the changes which would achieve this end.

The Learning and Development Centre has a long experience working with University departments and external clients on evaluation projects. In each field, we give examples of this experience.
