If you have established a person's membership of a trade union and their period of membership, and also have the relevant information outlined below, it may be worth searching these records for further information.

    • Annual reports, 1862-1919
    • Half-yearly reports, 1839-1866
    • Quarterly reports, Jan-Jun 1864
    • Monthly reports, 1854-1918

    Contain: All these series contain lists of new entrants to the Society each year. These are arranged by branch (including Bedford) and give the entrant's name and his register number. The annual reports appear to stop including this list after about 1886 but the monthly reports include the information up to circa 1916.

    Need: Name of Branch, a date of admission and the full name of the Society member.
