Facilities for group visits

The Modern Records Centre can host seminars, meetings, exhibitions and other events.

A visit can include an introductory talk and the chance to examine original documents relevant to your area of interest. We can also take groups of less than 10 into one of our strongrooms to give an idea of the extent of our holdings and how we store them.

Seminar roomSeminar room:

  • seats 20 people comfortably
  • networked PC with speakers
  • ceiling mounted data projector
  • Dividing wall with exhibition room can be removed to provide a larger space
Meeting room

Meeting room:

  • seats 6 people comfortably
  • PC (linked to plasma screen TV)
  • wifi
Exhibition room

Exhibition room:

  • four display cases
  • ceiling mounted data projector
  • can be booked as buffet/refreshment room for events in the seminar room
Searchroom

Public searchroom:

  • can be booked for events outside normal opening hours
  • dividing wall with seminar room can be removed to provide one large space for functions
